Tropical Heritage is owned and operated by Mary Page. Mary was forced from her home in Kenya, East Africa, by war and violence there. In trying to rebuild her life in her new home of San Diego, California, Mary is remembering those less fortunate from home who are still in Africa. With her business, Mary supports other victims of violent conflict. At the same time, her merchandise acts as cultural ambassador for Africa, introducing families in the US to the cultural richness and beauty of this great continent.

Mary speaks nine languages. Before fleeing her home, Mary had gained much experience in the handicrafts business, and it is this experience that allows Tropical Heritage to flourish today.
